About Tides to Peaks

Tides to Peaks Elopements was created for couples who want something intimate, intentional, and free from unnecessary production.

Most of our celebrations take place along the beaches and bluffs of Orange County, especially in San Clemente and Dana Point — where ocean light and open skies do most of the heavy lifting.

Coast or mountains, the goal is the same: calm, thoughtful, and true to you.

Meet Brooke Lyon

Brooke leads planning and coordination. She has a way of keeping things on track without making it feel like a production.

With a background in project management, she’s naturally organized and steady under pressure. She keeps permits, timelines, and vendors moving without overcomplicating things. The details get handled, the stress stays low, and the day unfolds the way it should.

She’s thoughtful, direct, and genuinely cares about the experience — not just the schedule. Couples often say she makes everything feel easier than they expected.

Meet Joey Broccardo

Joey is the photographer behind Tides to Peaks. Born and raised in San Clemente, he knows the coastline, the light, and how quickly both can change.

He’s been photographing weddings and elopements for years and has a way of making people feel comfortable fast. No stiff posing. No overdirecting. Just real moments and steady guidance when it’s needed.

When he’s not behind the camera, he’s probably scouting a sunset, over-caffeinating, or looking for a solid West Coast IPA. He takes the work seriously — just not himself.

Joey also leads Broccardo Photography, a South Orange County photography studio specializing in weddings and portraiture.

If this feels like the right fit, we’d love to start the conversation.

Why “Tides to Peaks”?

San Clemente is home. It’s where our routines are, where our friends are, where we come back to reset. But we also love being van travelers — loading up and heading toward the mountains for a stretch before coming back to the coast. The Rockies are part of Brooke’s story, and they’ve become part of ours too.

That’s really where the name comes from — tides and peaks. The ocean we live by, and the mountains we keep returning to.

Our goal is simple: build something that lets us follow the seasons without losing our sense of home. Some of our couples are coastal. Others are mountain people. Whether it’s near the Pacific or somewhere closer to the Rockies, we love the idea that our paths cross again — maybe for an anniversary session, maybe when we’re back in town, maybe just sharing a beer or a glass of wine and catching up.

Elopement Tip

Your elopement doesn’t have to follow traditional rules. If something feels more “you” — a first look on a bluff, a toast at your favorite brewery, or family photos before the ceremony — tell us. We’ll help make it happen.
